About the Paul Torrens Health Forum at UCLA
The Health Forum at UCLA is named in honor of Dr. Paul Torrens, a beloved Professor Emeritus at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. In his 40 years of teaching in the Department of Health Policy and Management, Dr. Torrens mentored generations of future health care leaders.
Established in 2011, the Paul Torrens Health Forum at UCLA is a series of regularly scheduled free public programs during the academic year that feature health leaders discussing and debating topics at the intersection of practice, policy, and politics. Programs typically consist of a presentation or panel discussion followed by a robust audience Q&A session.
